This intermediate-level Critical Core Skills course equips learners with the skills to foster effective team collaboration in a hybrid work environment. Learners will explore methods for setting team goals, enhancing communication, and resolving conflicts to create a cohesive and productive work culture. The course focuses on leveraging team strengths, building partnerships with stakeholders, and using digital collaboration tools to improve team efficiency and performance. Learners will develop the ability to adapt communication styles, manage work challenges positively, and apply problem-solving techniques to strengthen team dynamics and achieve organisational objectives.

What you will learn

This course covers effective team collaboration strategies in a hybrid work environment. Learners will develop skills in goal-setting, communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management to enhance team performance and cohesion. Learners will be able to:

Identify Team Goals – Identify shared goals that require collaboration to achieve team and organisational objectives, apply team goal-setting concepts, and adapt to different team structures.
Establish Harmonious Relationships – Align values, beliefs, and perceptions among team members, adapt interaction methods to team needs, and apply team development methods.
Develop a Positive Work Environment – Capitalise on team strengths, guide teams to manage work challenges positively, and apply problem-solving and communication strategies.
Resolve Team Issues – Develop partnerships with stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomes, resolve team issues, and apply stakeholder analysis techniques.
Enhance Team Collaboration – Provide feedback on team performance, suggest improvements to working styles, and recommend virtual collaboration tools to increase productivity.

Key skills covered include goal-setting, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and team development. Learners will gain proficiency in using stakeholder analysis techniques, communication styles, and virtual collaboration tools to enhance team cohesion and productivity.

Minimum Requirement

Age: between 30 and 55 years old
Education: Primary education; Secondary education; NITEC graduates
Literacy/Numeracy level: WPLN Level 3 or 4
