About This Course

This intermediate-level Critical Core Skills course helps learners develop the awareness and practical skills needed to foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive workplace. Learners explore key concepts such as diversity, unconscious bias, communication styles, and group dynamics, and understand how these influence workplace interactions and teamwork. Through case studies and guided activities, learners practise inclusive communication and respectful collaboration. The course also introduces AI-enabled tools such as Sea-Lion, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Nano Banana to support reviewing communication tone, identifying potential bias, and improving message clarity. Learners gain practical techniques to strengthen cooperation, belonging, and inclusive workplace relationships.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Recognise workplace diversity and cultural differences, and understand how these influence team dynamics, collaboration, and daily workplace interactions.

Identify and manage unconscious bias and stereotypes, applying practical strategies to reduce their impact on workplace decisions, behaviour, and communication.

Demonstrate inclusive communication practices, including active listening, respectful language, and culturally sensitive responses when working with diverse colleagues.

Use AI-enabled tools such as Sea-Lion, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Nano Banana to review communication tone, identify potential bias, translate or clarify messages, and support more inclusive workplace communication.
