This intermediate-level Critical Core Skills course equips learners with the skills to drive creative solutions using digital tools and strategic approaches to enhance workplace innovation and results. Learners will refine their creative thinking processes, conduct research for innovative ideas, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to develop and implement creative solutions. The course covers managing team ideation, leveraging digital collaboration platforms, and evaluating the impact of creative strategies. Learners will also enhance their ability to facilitate brainstorming, use visualization tools, and integrate feedback to drive improvements. By strengthening creative thinking and strategic problem-solving, learners will enhance their ability to manage innovation and drive improvements.

What you will learn

This course empowers learners to drive creative solutions using digital tools and strategic approaches to enhance workplace innovation and results. Learners will be able to:

Practice Creative Thinking Using Digital Apps – Identify specific outcomes in using digital apps to enhance creative thinking, analyze work areas through innovation drivers, and align creative outcomes with these drivers.
Research and Generate New Ideas – Conduct research to gather information that sparks the creation of new and fresh ideas for innovation, utilizing online research tools and trend analysis for information forecasting.
Facilitate and Coordinate Creative Thinking – Facilitate stakeholder participation in visualizing and mind mapping ideas using digital tools, and coordinate with team members to utilize different creative thinking techniques for collaborative ideation and problem-solving.
Implement and Evaluate New Ideas – Create an implementation plan for chosen improvements, overcome barriers to creativity, and evaluate the impact of new ideas and improvements on workplace processes using digital dashboards and outcome indicators.

Key skills covered include creative thinking, research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic problem-solving. Learners will also develop proficiency in conducting trend analysis, managing team ideation, using visualization techniques, and evaluating the impact of creative strategies.

Education: Higher NITEC; GCE O; GCE A; Diploma graduates
Literacy/Numeracy level: WPLN Level 5
