About This Course

This basic-level Critical Core Skills course equips learners with practical self-care and emotional regulation strategies to maintain focus and resilience in Singapore’s fast-changing work environments. Learners will discover ways to regulate emotions, adapt to new work demands, and identify essential skills to remain effective and employable. The curriculum integrates insights from modern tools, including AI-enabled platforms, for self-assessment and information processing, helping learners build emotional awareness, manage stress, and respond confidently to change. By strengthening emotional intelligence and adaptability, learners will enhance both work performance and personal well-being.

What you will learn

This course equips learners with the mindset, strategies, and tools to maintain resilience and adapt successfully to change. By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Apply Self-Care Strategies – Learn emotional regulation and self-awareness techniques, and see how AI-driven self-assessment tools can help maintain focus and resilience during changing work requirements.

Adapt to New Challenges – Adjust work processes and personal responses to manage evolving work environments, including those influenced by technological changes.

Enhance Problem-Solving and Decision-Making – Explore ideation, experimentation, and problem-solving methods, with examples of how AI tools can provide useful data insights for better decisions.

Monitor and Improve Work Performance – Understand ways to identify development areas and measure progress, with demonstrations of how AI-powered analytics can track and support growth.

Develop Emotional Awareness and Adaptability – Build emotional intelligence and adaptability to remain effective and employable in dynamic work settings.

Minimum Requirement

Education level is likely to be GCE ‘N’ Credit (at least C6) in English or WPLN score of Level 3 for Reading, Speaking, Listening, Writing and Numeracy, or
