Course Description

This course enables learners to assist their organisations in managing and communicating crises information to their stakeholders in a timely and effective manner. Learners should be able to establish key messages, design, develop, and execute a crisis communication plan that aligns with the organisation’s needs and regulatory requirements as well as apply different methods in information dissemination.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the learner will be able to:

  • determine the key roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders during crises.
  • establish alignment of the crisis communication roadmap with the organisation’s business continuity plan.
  • draft a crisis communication plan in a timely manner based on verified and evaluated information.
  • use appropriate tools and techniques when communicating crisis information to relevant stakeholders.
  • utilise the organisation’s communication system to disseminate key information to customers when there is a breakdown in service delivery.
  • review and improve the crisis communication plan in keeping with the organisation’s ongoing business strategies.
